Want to be stylish? Want to be stylish and save some money? Well fortunately, the clothing box at the E.E. Ward office has overflown and its all going straight to the 64th annual Bargain Box. Now you can be as fashionable as the people who help move Columbus everyday. If you don’t believe it, you better go see it!
The event is hosted by the women of the Junior League of Columbus on October 6th at the Franklin County Veteran’s Memorial. It offers high quality and gently used clothing and toys for members of the Columbus community at low and affordable prices. The JLC is celebrating its 90th year in Columbus and hopes to make this event a huge success. E.E. Ward is proud to offer its moving services to this event due to the extreme importance of the proceeds that are used year in and year out for many wonderful community outreach programs. Events such as Adopt a Backpack for Children, which donates 2,500 backpacks filled with school supplies at the beginning of the school year.
Junior League of Columbus member Suzanne Miller said ” The community has come to rely on this sale..” she added, “(the event) has raised more than $1.8 million to support the community projects of the Junior League since 1949.”
The pleasure of providing services that lessens operating costs and leads to more sales proceeds is quite more than a service. For E.E. Ward, it is a responsibility. The Bargain Box is a crucial event that collectively takes over 8000 volunteer hours to plan, set up and run. The communal effort is exemplary of the commitment to service that the great residents of Columbus strive for everyday.
E.E. Ward would like to thank the Junior League of Columbus for their continued commitment to serving Columbus and encourages all to check out the 64th annual Bargain Box event.
