Known as African-American History Month, BHM (Black History Month) is an annual celebration and observance of all the contributions African-Americans have made to the Americas ever since the great
African Diaspora of which brought African-Americans’ ancestors over. Be it culture, a change of events, or inspiring leadership, we recognize the significant impact Africans have made on America over the course of the past few hundreds of years. Despite their brutal setbacks, difficult obstacles, and even current obtrusions that our neighbors and co-workers still face, African American citizens have made their mark on our Western world for the better, something we are thankful for, not just in February, but every month of the year! We welcome their contributions as part of our, not melting pot but rather, salad bowl of American culture.
Big thanks to biography.com and history.com for some of their great photos!
