Flowers are blooming, birds are chirping and your home needs new landscaping to match all that spring fever. But where do you start? You can go off a referral from the Jones’ next door but if you don’t know anyone who has used the services you need it can be a daunting task to choose the right professionals to help in improving your home. This is where the Better Business Bureau of Central Ohio (BBB) comes in.
You should always check with the BBB to see how credible a company actually is. Like Columbus moving company E.E. Ward Moving & Storage, make sure a service company is accredited with the Bureau. Personal websites and planted reviews can be deceiving, but BBB investigates in a non-biased manner. They also vet companies to find out if they are properly licensed.
Another great feature of the Bureau is the ability to see complaints other consumers have lodged with the business. Then, not only can you see how they were resolved, but the correspondence between the consumer and the company as well. If a company has been notoriously harmful to customers they will often issue a warning statement about them.
Based on complaints and how they are resolved, licensing, and a myriad of other factors the BBB assigns each company a rating of “A+” – “F.” Our own company has earned an A+ through our excellent customer service.
In anticipation of how many people will need home help this season, the BBB has created a special website for the task which focuses on all aspects of finding and purchasing home improvement and repair assistance. Check it out for accredited business listings, tips, and personalized advice.
