Supporting Every Mother Counts

This Sunday, one of E.E. Ward’s own, Dominique Reighard, will run the New York City Marathon, the biggest and most popular marathon in the world with over fifty thousand participating runners. She is training to raise money for the non-profit organization Every Mother Counts.

In 2013, Dominique transitioned from walking the runway to running in competitive events. As an ambassador for Every Mother Counts, she says, it’s time for her to run for those who are forced to walk.

By donating just $10, an expecting mother doesn’t have to walk miles to receive healthcare; $10 provides two free rides to a health facility. By sacrificing popcorn at the movies, a Chipotle Burrito, or a new T-shirt, you can donate to a mother in need because here at E.E. Ward we believe Every Mother Counts.

One woman dies every two minutes from complications with pregnancy and childbirth, and Dominique is running for all those who suffer because of it.
