On May 18th, In Christy’s Shoes hosted the the 8th annual Sole Celebration. The event featured an energetic fashion show and a variety of celebrity autographed items offered in a silent auction.
In Christy’s Shoes was started by Christy Levy Peters’ sister Katrina Zidel and friends after she passed away from brain cancer at age 33. Christy loved shoes and always empowered women throughout her lifetime. The foundation raises money to support women facing homelessness, human trafficking, domestic violence, substance abuse, brain cancer and unemployment.
TV personality and style expert Robert Verdi appeared as a featured speaker at the evening. Known for his witty personality and lifestyle advice, Robert, made for a great addition to the event. Verdi donated 80 purses to the event and directly raised $8,000.00 dollars for the foundation before the night was over..
