On Friday, August 14, NASCAR Xfinity racer, Dakoda Armstrong, will be making an appearance at E. E. Ward Moving & Storage’s event Laps for Lunches in Columbus, Ohio.
Dakoda Armstrong was born in 1991 in Indiana. He began go-kart racing at the age of six and won the 1998 World Karting Association Championship. At the age of thirteen, he became the youngest driver to win a USAC National Championship title.
Armstrong entered the stock car racing scene with Penske Racing, partnered with Cunningham Motorsports in 2009. He competed in the ARCA Racing series with a total of three top-ten finishes. In 2010, he raced with Cunningham full-time and finished 7th in points with two wins. He also earned the title of “Rookie of the Year.”
Armstrong partnered with WinField in 2013. He raced with One Turn Racing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and finished 12th place in points. Armstrong was signed by Richard Petty Motorsports for his first full season competing in NASCAR’s Nationwide series.
Dakoda is in the middle of the NASCAR Xfinity Series. He currently sits at 12th place in points standing. He is coming to Ohio for the Mid-Ohio race scheduled for August 16.
Dakoda will be available for autographs and photographs at Laps for Lunches, an event dedicated to combatting food insecurity in central Ohio.
