EE Ward Moving & Storage’s owner Brian Brooks recently sat down with the Columbus Dispatch to celebrate and highlight the historic achievements of this Ohio mainstay business. With over 100 years of experience under our belts, EE Ward Moving & Storage has meant more than just being your best resource for all of your professional moving and storage needs.
As the country’s oldest continuously African-American-owned business, EE Ward Moving & Storage got its start as a small wagon transportation business in Ohio with John T. Ward at the helm. Ward used his small business and his home to house and transport escaped slaves from the South to freedom as part of the Underground Railroad. Our historic beginnings and immense growth over the past century have brought us immense pride, and we seek to celebrate and uphold our history and reputation every day.
In the article, which we’ve previously highlighted, the Columbus Dispatch highlights EE Ward’s contribution to not only the rights of African Americans in the United States but also its contribution to Ohio’s history.
For over 135 years, EE Ward Moving & Storage and our owners continually uphold the standards and practices set forth by our founder and those who have come before us. Ohio’s history is our history, and we seek to continue to provide our customers with the best quality moving experiences possible. For any and all of your Ohio professional moving needs, work with a historic company with not only over 130 years of successful moves, but a moving company that’s built on family and making a difference. We’ll provide you with the best services, prices, and overall experience.
