Meghan Sullivan, Marketing Intern, has just graduated from OSU and is off to full time employment, but sadly leaving E.E. Ward. We spoke to Meghan about her experience as an intern, what it is like working for E.E. Ward, and her plans for the future!
Meghan says E. E. Ward’s intern program is geared towards development and learning in order to get real work experience for future careers. She says it is a rare opportunity compared to other companies because you are fully integrated as a staff member here at E.E. Ward. According to Meghan, the advantage of working with this smaller company is that you have way more responsibility and more chances to be involved thoroughly. Marketing interns also deal with operations and sales coordinators. In addition, it is also fun to collaborate with other students along with marketing executives with a ton of experience.
Meghan’s favorite experience with E.E. Ward was working on the planning and execution of the corporate relocation. She says it was a crazy and busy time for the marketing team but it was a great experience learning to work under pressure and get a lot done. She especially enjoyed working with Fox 28 when they visited the new E.E. Ward office and warehouse to broadcast for National Moving Month.
Meghan is going to begin her full time job in the fall with Highlights for Children as a marketing analyst in Grandview. She is looking forward to her marketing development program which entails creating digital and print media along with e-commerce and online analytics.
