Remember Ted Williams? No, not the baseball player. That’s right, the
former Columbus panhandler whose “golden voice” was discovered by some
reporters from The Columbus Dispatch. Yeah, remember him? He took the
internet by storm when a video was posted back in January of him showing
off his radio-friendly voice. Since then, he was offered lucrative voice
over deals, stormed morning news shows, was on “Dr. Phil” and then
entered rehab. Talk about a whirlwind 2011.
According to The Columbus Dispatch, Williams is currently living in a sober
house in Los Angeles. While he may continue to do some
voiceover work here and there, it appears that he is focused on staying
clean and sober for good. While the public has since moved on to new
internet sensations, it is admirable to see that Williams appears to be
focused on getting his life in order so he can focus on the big picture
down the road.
