If there is one thing we have learned about our employees recently, it’s that they love Grove City!
We sat down with E.E. Ward Accounting Administrator, Macy Dallas, to learn exactly why. Macy lived in Grove City for 2 years, briefly moved to Marysville, and is now in the process of moving back to the area. She was originally drawn to the city by its ability to house everything you could need in one spot, while still being just a 15 minute drive from bustling Downtown Columbus.
Macy really values how the community is close knit and family oriented. She noted how “even if you’re just going to the grocery store, you’ll have so many people say hello to you and go out of their way to hold open any door in your path”. The community also hosts events ranging from phenomenal Fourth of July fireworks to kid’s trick-or-treat activities at local businesses.
Additionally, the Grove City school district is rated well above average and has extensive expansion and improvement plans in place for the coming years. On average, there are 20.3 students per teacher, with slightly above average spending per student. While being a family friendly environment, Grove City offers many affordable housing options, especially apartments and condos.
With a 1.41% job growth rate and an increasing number of businesses moving to the area the city ranks well for having a cost of living that is 11.5% lower than the national average with respect to groceries, healthcare, housing, utilities, and transportation. Additionally, Grove City offers a wide array of restaurants, with one of Macy’s favorites being the local Olive Garden. Grove City’s popularity is definitely on the rise with it’s wide array of opportunities that will only continue to attract new residents and organizations.
