Marketing interns Sydney and Meghan had the opportunity to hear Rand speak on this topic while representing E.E. Ward at The Better Business Bureau’s 20th Torch Awards. Rand’s speech was captivating and highlighted just how impressive Rand’s experience and knowledge of marketing. He focused predominantly on digital marketing and the importance of customer reviews for small businesses. The internet has rapidly changed the customer review market, and has created a greater need for companies to engage customers and seriously listen to their input on brands.
Rand inspired us to analyze and improve our own social media presence in an effort to connect with our customers. We’ve already made improvements in our review system, ensuring that every client has the chance to voice their opinion on social platforms whether that be through their computer or mobile device. As Rand indicated, 92% of consumers cited ‘word of mouth recommendations’ as the top influencer in buying a product or service. Therefore, it’s extremely important to us that clients have positive moving experiences they’re willing to share with others. We’ve also created a stronger effort to produce content that our customers want to read, find useful, and subscribe to in the future.
