During the month of August, driver Eddie Malone went above and beyond the call of duty for his customers. With our peak season winding down, and some backlog still looming about, we had a small shipment sitting on our dock that was in jeopardy of not getting to the destination on time. We needed to get it moving right away, as the customer was rightfully upset about having no delivery update currently available. With all other drivers committed to orders nowhere near this customer’s shipment destination, we were in trouble. However, Eddie stepped up and volunteered to take this shipment without hesitating, complaining, or even asking what it paid. Rather, he happily agreed to do it armed with a smile on his face. This kind of dedication to servicing our customers is the perfect example of how fantastic our drivers are and is greatly appreciated by all of the E.E. Ward staff.
