Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose recognizes EE Ward Moving & Storage for its February Ohio Business Spotlight. It’s an honor to be recognized as both a historic Black-Owned Business and as an Ohioan company that’s been in service for over 100 years.
The Ohio Business Spotlight sheds light on how we here at EE Ward Moving & Storage got our start in the relocation industry, and how our founder, John T. Ward started this business from the ground up as what started out as a stop on the Underground Railroad. As Ward continued to aid slaves in reaching their destinations and gaining their freedom, he began to expand and transport furniture, food, and more as the years went on.
140 years later, we’re proud to continually provide Columbus and the surrounding areas incredible and unparalleled customer service, and the most efficient moving processes possible. Passed down through generations, EE Ward Moving & Storage is proud to continue to operate on respect and the strong morals set forth by our founder.
Today, EE Ward Moving & Storage is owned by husband and wife duo Brian and Dominique Brooks, who have worked hard to strengthen the business’ foundation and have led us to win a multitude of awards, including 2018’s North American Van Lines Overall Quality Hauling Agent of the Year and the 2017 Agent of the Year for Service Excellence (American Moving & Storage Association).
The Brooks family is committed to continuing and building upon the legacy of John T. Ward, and proving again and again why EE Ward Moving & Storage is a premier Ohio moving company.
