E. E. Ward Moving and Storage had the opportunity to sponsor Business Objective: Life by Design (BOLD) real estate training program at the Brookside Golf and Country Club. Developed by Dianna Kokoszka, CEO of MAPS Coaching and a million dollars real estate career woman, BOLD works with real estate agents to improve their language techniques and business-building strategies through mindset exercises over the course of seven weeks. E. E. Ward, a preferred vendor of the Columbus Board of Realtors, along with mortgage lenders and home inspectors, was there to make connections with the real estate agents. Shanna Crawford spoke on behalf of E. E. Ward. She proudly announced Dakoda Armstrong’s racecar will bear E. E. Ward’s logo on his trunk lid during the Memorial Day weekend race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
BOLD’s coach was Hank Avink of Keller Williams Realty in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Avink began his presentation by opening the conversation for ‘wins.’ These wins can be any type of accomplishment that had been achieved in the past week that an individual wanted to share with the group. After the wins, each team reported on their progress for this week, including new listings, new contracts, and houses sold. Their reports not only offered their statistics, but also a reflection on why they succeeded and areas they can improve.
One unique training technique BOLD utilizes is a section called “Dianna’s Diary.” Dianna Kokoszka is best known for selling 104 homes in her first year in real estate! She developed BOLD to train other real estate agents to be successful like her. These sections of “Dianna’s Diary” are clips from Dianna’s journal that give the BOLD participants the opportunity to see firsthand how Dianna became successful.
BOLD is filled with important information about the real estate business. They covered topics such as database growth, handling client objections, and strategic planning and outreach. All of this information is practical for real estate agents. By implementing these strategies into their agency, the agents can improve their business and relationships with their clients. The second half of the presentation was dedicated to putting these strategies into practice. One exercise was to take 30 minutes and call any former or current clients to express their gratitude. After 30 minutes, more than ten agents reported receiving a new lead or securing an offer from their client! The group then role-played the phone calls that did not go well; in order to improve their performance for their next call. It was incredible to literally hear the agents’ conversations that lead to business success!
Some of the reactions to BOLD from the participants were:
“I love BOLD. It changed my life.”
“Step out of your comfort zone because we are in a safe environment and it’s okay to make a mistake.”
This was a great opportunity to encourage real estate agents to refer E. E. Ward to their clients who are trying to hire movers! Plus, who is not going to remember the moving and storage company that brought them Tim Horton’s bagels and doughnuts?!
