E.E. Ward Employees Volunteers at YWCA of Central Ohio

E.E. Ward employees volunteered at the YWCA of Columbus this past Tuesday night. Members of the staff prepared and served food to impoverished families and cleaned the dishes afterwards. The YWCA mission is dedicated to “eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.” Among many services offered by the organization is the YWCA Family Center. The center provides emergency shelter and critical services to stabilize homeless families in central Ohio.  The program has been very successful, resulting in more than 70% of families finding housing within 21 days of entrance to the program.

E.E. Ward is proud to support the YWCA and its commitment to the central Ohio community.  The opportunity to give back to the community is one that is rarely missed by E.E. Ward. Noi Kennedy and Abby Phillips, E.E. Ward’s own, had a wonderful experience serving fellow members of the community. Abby expressed her excitement about the experience saying, “It was a lot of fun, and we served probably 180 people. It makes you realize how lucky you are. You really do wish you could do more.” This mindset of giving back to the community is a fundamental value of the company that it hopes to put on display for years to come in central Ohio.
