Columbus Moving Company spends time with A Kid Again

E.E. Ward co-owners, Brian and Dominique Brooks, attended the annual A Kid Again holiday party at Reynoldsburg High School. A Kid Again’s mission is to foster hope, happiness and healing for families raising kids with life threatening illnesses. Families thrust into the situation of having to care for a child with a life threatening illness are unprepared and usually unequipped to deal with what follows, often feeling they have lost their hold on the situation and their own lives. A Kid Again helps to restore a sense of normalcy for their child and themselves. A Kid Again strives to make life for families caring for a child with a life-threatening illness more like “life” again by helping them gain back moments of solace and a sense of control over their circumstances.

Volunteers gathered at the event and were assigned a role throughout the party that contributed to the kid’s experiences during the party. Brian and his family helped clean up in the cafeteria after the kids and parents had lunch. This year, through the holiday party, A Kid Again was able to host 1,382 kids, siblings, and families!
