On May 12th, A Kid Again held Time Out, an annual fundraising event supporting families across Ohio that have children with life-threatening illnesses. A Kid Again has helped families for over 20 years by hosting year-round events and providing them with positive, family-shared experiences and memories.
Time Out was held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The evening featured live and silent auctions, live entertainment, and a gourmet dinner. Jon Petz emceed the event, with Ohio State men’s basketball coach, Chris Holtmann, and current play-by-play announcer for Ohio State football and men’s basketball, Paul Keels, also speaking. Guests also met the star of the event, two-year-old Donavon who has a life-threatening illness called Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
A Kid Again seeks to provide children with fun events the entire year. They also involve the whole family to improve the wellbeing of everyone impacted and strengthen the connection between these families. Families go to places including the Columbus Zoo, Cedar Point, sporting events, and more.
Time Out 2018 was a major success with more than $500,000 raised. E.E. Ward co-owners Brian and Dominique Brooks attended this event and are proud to support such an amazing organization.
