Cold, Wet and Grueling: Brian and Dominique Brooks Finish the Kern Arctic Dash

E.E. Ward co-owner Brian Brooks and his wife, Dominique, competed in the Camp Kern Artic Dash in December.  More than 120 brave souls took on a brutal military-style obstacle course in even more brutal conditions in December.  The Artic Dash Course is a unique event, approximately 5K with 12-15 obstacles. There is mud and rugged terrain. There are ravines, climbing, crawling, and traversing water hazards.  Brian and Dominique finished the course in 57 minutes.

The Kern Dash Series is comprised of three seasonal dashes, held on the beautiful and multifarious terrain of YMCA Camp Kern.  Kern Dashes raise money for the Strong Kids Scholarship Campaign. This Campaign provides scholarships that allow kids, whose families otherwise may not be able to afford it, to go to summer camp.
