This past weekend, The Union, otherwise known as the central hub of campus at The Ohio State University, was filled with over 4,800 students, faculty, and participants as the college celebrated their annual Buckeyethon Dance Marathon.
This FTK Celebration raises money, awareness, and support for children who are treated at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in the Hematology, Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplant Department. Individual fundraising events are held throughout the year to help students raise their goal of $250 with the final event of the season being this 24-hour dance marathon where students and the families of children who are treated at Nationwide come together to dance on their feet as we support and continue to fundraise for the kids. Our own Brian Brooks, President & Owner, and his family attended the incredible finale event on Friday evening, in addition to our two marketing interns, Sydney Hosford and Meghan Sullivan. Dominique Reighard, America’s Next Top Model All-Star and wife of Brooks, was the guest of honor at this year’s Buckeyethon Fashion Show, providing modeling tips and expertise to all the attendees. By participating in Friday evening’s festivities, together, E.E. Ward chose to donate their time to the first of the 12-hour shifts.
As you can see, this is all for the kids. And the E.E. Ward Moving & Storage Team could not imagine a better cause.
Thanks to all the volunteers, dancers, and people who donated their time and money, this year’s Buckeyethon raised $1,338,872.37 FOR THE KIDS!
