Columbus Business First came out with an article issuing the “2015 Best Places To Work” including that of Geben Communications, Kasier Consulting, American Bank, and Fuse by Cardinal Health. All of these companies have overcome obstacles that any other business can learn from, and that’s why we’re taking a closer look at what they have to say!
A few themes seem to stand out between these great companies. They convey how best to handle problems that seem to always arise in a work environment despite the size or trade differences of an organization. For example, one overarching lesson is to “not get so caught up in the day-to-day grind [that you] miss opportunities to realize progress, accomplishments and impact,”says Geben Communication, an agency in the Columbus area. In order to successfully highlight achievements of any individual or group, a company needs to be reflective and genuine, being able to recognize even the smallest of triumphs. Taking the time to congratulate workers on their hard work creates a supportive environment that people want to work in. In the long run, this will pay off so much more.
Additionally, there are many successful implementations that any company, including our own, could take away from these successful companies that reside in our own community. Columbus certainly seems to be filled with blooming business. Here at E.E. Ward Moving and Storage, we’re excited to see such triumph around us, and can’t wait to continually better our business with these tips of trade!
