On November 16, 2016 E.E. Ward team members had the pleasure of attending the annual Better Business Bureau Torch Awards for Ethics luncheon in the Archie Griffin Ballroom at the Ohio State University Student Union. The Torch Award recipients are at the pinnacle of their leadership journeys and inspire those around them. The recipients display business ethics built from with culture, community and character. E.E. Ward was a 2012 recipient of the Torch Award for Ethics and understands the honor the award brings. E.E. Ward team members attended the luncheon not only as a former recipients, but also because President Brian Brooks was on the selection committee for this years Torch Award recipients.
The BBB is a nationally recognized and respected organization that accredits businesses. Moreover, it celebrates the journey of entrepreneurship and recognizes the challenges that these entrepreneurs overcome. The journey of an entrepreneur can begin at any age, but the BBB finds it valuable to recognize 10 young students with The Students of Integrity Scholarship Awards. With the increasing number of millennial entrepreneurs, the BBB has created The Spark Awards,which recognizes millennial entrepreneurs for their leadership, character and company culture. The 2016 recipients were also recognized at the BBB luncheon.
