Alum Creek Fantasy of Lights

For the 16th year in a row the Alum Creek Fantasy of Lights has delighted Columbus citizens, our own employees and their families included. The Fantasy of Lights is a drive thru holiday light show open to the public at Alum Creek State Park Campground.

Families can hop in their cars and drive through the exhibits, which makes it perfect for the little ones when temperatures are cold. After “ooh”-ing and “ahh”-ing at the creative displays there is also a Santa House where you can enjoy free hot cocoa and cookies and pay a visit to ol’ Saint Nick.

If you want your holiday enjoyment to do some good at the same time this is the light show for you. All donations for pictures with Santa and a portion of the ticket price at the gate to see the lights goes to Recreation Unlimited and other local charities. Recreation Unlimited Farm and Fun is a certified 501( c )3 non-profit that works to provide year-round activities for people with mental and physical disabilities and other special health concerns.

Some of their programs include year-round respite weekend camps, summer day camps, and specialty camps for specific illnesses like autism and Prader-Willi syndrome. Take some of our employees’ leads and head out to this wintertime tradition for a good cause!
