At E.E. Ward Moving & Storage our entire team strives for excellence, and when that excellence is reached we take great pride in celebrating with everyone who makes it happen. From packers to drivers to our sales team, every employee we have works to make this company the most trusted and high quality mover in Columbus. So we take a break from storing, packing, driving and coordinating to come together for an Awards Breakfast and prize drawings near the end of every year so we can give our thanks to our team and report our successes.
Rondia Barbee pulls a prize after being selected from a random drawing during the breakfast. Gifts were sponsored by Victory Packaging, Earl’s Garage, United Polly, Penske Truck, Buckeye 3rd Party, RCG Solutions and Best One Tire.
We also take this opportunity to applaud the people who work their hardest to deliver truly exceptional service. We are fortunate to count among our ranks 6 recipients of the Top Quality Award through North American Van Lines (NAVL). This is awarded to drivers who have had a minimum of a 4.5 out of 5 quality review score for 12 months, with at least 10 surveys submitted. These were Jason Carpenter, Jeff Huxtable, Ralph Papineau, Michael Sollberger, David Chenault and Andy Arvanitis. Carpenter also won the Top Overall Quality Award from NAVL, with an overall score of 4.97 from 22 surveys.
Catering of the breakfast was provide by Columbus catering company Two Caterers
E.E. Ward also gives an Outstanding Performance Award to one interstate driver and one local driver, based on overall driver safety and performance quality for the past 12 months. The interstate award went to Jason Carpenter, and the local award went to Charles Anderson.
Driver Terry Wood is awarded with being a Safe Driver through NAVL for 11 years.
Additionally, we present the Above and Beyond Award to one administrative staff member and one move operations team member for willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done well. Our Local Operations Manager Jeff Johnson won the administrative award for being willing to go beyond his normal job duties when needed. For example, he got a call on a Sunday from a driver who needed more helpers to come out to a job and move items. When none of our moving operations staff were available to help Jeff “laced up his shoes” and went out to the site and did it himself. Jerome Davis won the move operations award for his positive attitude whenever anything is asked of him, like when he drove to Brooklyn, New York with short notice. Both of these men are great examples of how much our team here at E.E. Ward cares about providing a quality experience, by any means necessary.
Jeff Johnson receives his award from General Manager Hal Byram.
